Advent in the Willow Dome

Time for reflection - Time for nature

The Gesäuse National Park's traditional Advent event takes place each year in the Willow Dome visitor centre on a weekend in December – with a special Christmas market set in the wonderful winter landscape of the Gesäuse National Park.

Lots of festive activities make this a special Advent event: Christmas stories round the camp fire, walks through the snow-covered forest, Christmas craft projects for children and much more. The National Park's partner organisations invite visitors to taste Enns Valley delicacies and hot festive drinks against a background of local music.

While the children get busy making Christmas gifts in the heated craft cabin, the adults – warmed by a cup of special Admont punch – can browse the Advent stalls selling handicrafts and handmade Christmas gifts.
